And Hello (I never know how to start off an entry, so yes, I'm going to start with a conjunction). What have I been up to? Leaving my clean laundry on the couch, I know that much for certain. All of our clothes are going to get covered in cat fur in time so why not just hurry the entire process.

Over the weekend I saw Super 8, it turned out to be a bit different than I expected it to be, one of Jason's friends spoiled us a little bit before hand. It was rather funny actually, and surprisingly sentimental. I don't usually associate the warm and fuzzy with a J.J Abrams production but I did enjoy myself. I guess I was being a bit of a lout because I wanted more explosions, disasters, blood, gore, abnormal people and creatures, slurpee like goo swallowing farm animals whole, kittens riding tricycles - ya know that sort of stuff. I typically don't set out to watch movies for that reason alone but every now and then I just want to clinch my fists and go "EEEE explode."

True Blood has returned! Excited to see where this season will take us. I watched the Season premiere, heard the second episode is floating around. I actually like the idea of witches so we shall see.

My boyfriend has almost beat American McGees Alice, not for the first time but it has been quite some time since his original game play. Alice: Madness Returns is so amazing. I might not be the best at it as of yet but the game is stunning.

Friday, Jason and I took his sister to dinner (The Cheesecake Factory, we go there a little too much for one persons digestive system) for her birthday along with her friend Elysia.

I haven't been feeling that great, not really sure what is going on just pain in my chest (this is a recurring thing) and arms. I've been trying to ignore it but it is friggin uncomfortable. I've been to the doctor about it in the past and it always (almost) ends up being a waste of money, I have no insurance so it is all out of pocket. I just want a solution dammit, pain reliever does not help.

Saturday, I somehow convinced my boyfriend to take me candle shopping. I LOVE candles but he doesn't. I'm quite picky when it comes to scents and so is he but I ended up getting two as you can see. The Red Velvet is self explanatory but the Fireside is just, I don't know how to describe it accurately - it smells a bit like wood but it just makes me feel relaxed and homey.

I got some new leggings from Torrid, they only had them left in one size which is a bit too big for me but I couldn't pass on them. The torrid storks work incredibly quick, these babies arrived within days of placing my order. I have been a torrid fan foreve. I will take pictures soon, I'm not really sure what to wear them with, maybe a tunic? They are a bit thick, could actually be worn more as you know actual bottoms. Here is a Linksie to them btw.

I have been craving cake, cupcakes, and chocolate non-stop this past week. My boyfriend and I shared cupcakes at Ruby Tuesdays, they weren't bad actually, shh a little secret - Jason was pretending to be a judge from 'Cupcake Wars' as he ate them. It was really cute.

I ended ordering a custom candy bar from Chocomize, it should be here soon, I was really curious and I kept making fake creations and then clicking off the page and then doing it again so I finally gave in. I'm weak to the chocolatey powers. They have a huge range of toppings you can choose from, everything from lavender to orange peel, sour patch kids to beef jerky and potato chips - just a heap of options. I will share my creation once it arrives =D

I tried on a dress at Target that did not work at all so I put it back, but they did not have my size so perhaps that was the real issue.

It has been insanely warm, as I so eloquently put it yesterday, it felt like "satans microwave" yesterday as I was out running errands. I wanted to die, my glasses were fogging up on my face from the heat and the air conditioning in my car was not being very cool(pun, dirty pun maker). I hate the heat, absolutely despise it, it  makes me so irritable. I plan on basking in the air conditioning as much as possible.

Oh and good news, my boyfriend and I are a step closer to our own house. We had been anxiously and impatiently awaiting the arrival of a letter and it came. I was so damn excited. There are still many hurdles to go but it is something!

Onto a few music videos I wanted to share, the band 'The Ettes' I have been a fan for awhile, I'm hoping to possibly see them live in September.

One last one...

So I have noticed in all my entries (thus far) I have talked wayy too much, what can I say I have a weakness for many things and excessive speech just happens to be one of them. Of course I'm as always blabbering too much - the point is I'm going to cut this entry short, or try and fail miserably.

So my weekend, I visited my friend Row and her family on Friday. Monkey took us to a local Italian restaurant that was awesome I really liked the ambiance of the place - it had an awesome wooden door with a speakeasy (love them), smelled lovely, and they were playing 50's hits. Also the food was yummy, lots of garlic, I took a business card but I think I washed my pants with it in the pocket... typical.

The following day was my little sisters' dance recital, they did well. Went to Texas Roadhouse with the family afterwards, gave my sisters grief, and then drove back home.
Ham and swiss cheese roll up with spicy broccoli.

Besides all that, I've been cooking a lot. I enjoy cooking but it is a bit of a hassle when you share a place with 2-3 other people. Plus dirty dishes can SUCK IT, although Monkey has that chore (agreed upon chores are great), he does dishes and I do the bathrooms - even trade in my opinion. Note the deadly trident mark on the roll, what a way to go.

I haven't been shopping at all :( I'm sad about it too.

We did get one new thing though: 'Alice: Madness Returns' for our XBOX. We were both very excited, our roommate has had it since it came out and we've been envious and itching for our own copy. It came with 'American McGee's Alice' as well. We haven't even played the new Alice yet, just the old Alice. I'm not sure if anyone else here is a video game fan. They have some really awesome merchandise on their site Alice 2 Store, I want so many of the lithographs (preview down below) and t-shirts they have for sale. I would love to have the costume below but it only goes up to a size L. I would wear it to Costco, rock that shit in the aisle with gigantic jars of pickles but alas I cannot, chub discriminators.

Two nights ago, I chatted with my roomie Dawn for hours, she wanted slacker advice, seriously. I've never been told I know how to "take it easy" in a good way. Maybe I can turn this whole slacker, bum like lifestyle into a career? No... it is doubtful. Back to slacking! Wait, no exclamation point, getting excited takes too much effort.

So I'm off to make dinner, late I know, but my boyfriend works third shift.

I leave you with a video I cannot stop watching, I love Betty/Bettie Page.

Oh and kitties. I cannot leave without spamming you with kitty images.

The family kitten, who I renamed Tyrion after the character in Game of Thrones. He is really adorable but he has one stinky ass.
My Hero.

'Ello, 'Ello, Ow, Ow- my side is giving me grief this morning. I was tossing and turning in bed for hours in between some very vivid dreams, a good 3 of them that I recall.

Saw 'The Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' and 'The Hangover 2' recently. I absolutely loved the mermaids in Pirates, fierce hissing merladies. I wanna be a mermaid mama', my hair is long enough now. I don't quite have the mer figure going on but *scoff* a girl can dream to one day be a chubby, enchanting mermaid.
Mer "I'm gonna cut you" face

Of course, Ian McShane rocked it, one fabulous actor right there. To be honest I was a bit disappointed in 'The Hangover 2' it basically had the exact same premise as the first movie just different location and different cast member getting married. It was somewhat amusing but not nearly as funny (in my opinion) as the first.

I have done a lot of window shopping online lately. It is fun but a bit frustrating because I can't buy any of it. City Chic and Monsoon have stolen my affections at the moment. Even though, I am well aware that I have enough clothes already.

One of my staples in my bra community, yes I have a community of undergarments (I don't), broke last night. I had a funeral for it (I didn't, all these liessss honeysuckelle), I have been aware for a few months now that I need some new bras but I need to get professionally measured once again and I don't really trust most places. I worked at Lane Bryant before and there is no real training when it comes to the measurement and I want to know for certain that I have the correct bra size on. I'm somewhere between a DDD to F cup, it is next to impossible to find my size. Anyone have any recommendations in that arena? I'm desperate. I want something preferably cute, comfortable, and that doesn't show in everything. My one bra shows in everything, it would show in a flippin' turtleneck (not really). This is probably too much underwear information, deepest apologies.

Wow, I thought I wouldn't have anything to talk about... mmmhmm, chatterbox.

So my sunglasses arrived from Domino Dollhouse. They arrived within four days of me placing the order, super quick delivery and I really love the color! They are a bit big but I really love them. I could not be happier. I'm really looking forward to the Make Out Circus collection.

I swear I'm almost done with my chatter. Two more things, just two more! I'm really into Oddities on The Science Channel  lately. I want to visit that shop one day, I have set the goal. Now I have to say, I'm not into taxidermy at all, I heart animals too much and don't like to think of them dead but I do like odd stuff.

Last but not least, I set out to take pictures of my outfit a few days ago and mission: failed. I did however take one picture I thought I'd share with you so you can get a broad (very broad) idea of what I was wearing that day.

Green tank: Target
Striped cardi: Target
Black bead necklace: Claires
(in background) Glitter explosion purse: Forever 21

Onto the picture, now my hair is in need of a touch up but my favorite hair stylist just had a baby and is on maternity leave for another month. I took several pictures but this was the only one I ended up keeping and still there is a runaway hair that decided to be a punk and spoil the picture. Mind the clutter in the background. I also had on some green earrings that were a gift several years ago, a black lace and ribbon skirt from a family owned shop in a local mall, and my staple of black flip flops. The cardigan gets on my last nerve because it falls off my shoulders constantly but I'm a sucker for stripes. I know this picture isn't the best but it is something. Baby steps, I admit I am a bit insecure when it comes to taking pictures. Not sure what the plan is for today, hope everyone is well.

I keep telling myself that I will post more often, weekly at least and I never seem to get around to it. I'm a bum, I've always admitted to my bum-ness or in the words of Mr. Strickland, "You're a slacker".

Last Thursday I went to Goth Prom in DC with Summer and my roommate, Dawn. Dawn and I were talking upstairs for awhile like we usually do and I had mentioned I was going to "Gawf" Prom later and we decided she just had to come. It was hotter than all sin that day so the outfit wasn't as decked out as originally planned. Summer had a really cute lace dress from Simply Be on by the way! The drive to D.C is always an interesting one, the never ending traffic had us all road raging, and a pot hole the size of Lake Michigan almost wiped us all out. Luckily everyone including Henry the vroom vroom machine are well and safe, tucked in our parking spaces and covered in bird poo. Actually,  Henry I think you're alone on those last two.

"Gawf" Prom wasn't too bad, it was held at this place called Town Dance Boutique and it was quite bigger than the clubs I'm use to. Most of the clubs I've ever been to have been the size of someones basement. There only ever seems to be two types of clubs in the D.C/Baltimore region, everything else and Gay Clubs that are awesome and actually have more diversity in the nights/events they throw. I have no idea what the club scene is like anywhere else but our little region is a little lackluster, I must say. Town was pretty cool though, they might have had more rooms open but I only noticed two - both had dance floors and bars, places to sit and stages.

I guess that is a little stage, not exactly a stage-stage more like place for people to shake their rrrrump (I wish I could roll my r's). We finished up the evening near this stage. I had several drinks, my memory escapes me but I think 5 or 6 and finally in the last about 30 minutes of being there I felt drunk. The music wasn't bad, the energy was decent, overall a pretty fun night. Saw my friend Matt, who I was very happy to see, he was in true Matt form and danced with us and said "To think I almost did not come". As the club was closing, Summer made a funny comment about the "W" on the door standing for "Wenis" and in true Rachel drunken glory I decided to say it in funny, slurred voices over and over (and over) again. There was a guy who worked at the club cleaning the bathroom when we (I) stumbled in so I had to, it was basically an obligation. As I left the bathroom I walked past him still saying "wenis" and doing absurd dance moves, he grinned and shook his head. Then a complete stranger and I played the "penis" game outside the club. Oh, the maturity. It's rough, it really is, being a mature adult. Seems hard for me at least.

Anyway Dawn drove us home, Summer left and I amazingly did not have a hangover when I woke up. Actually that is the second time I've been drunk since my last post, I got drunk at Don Pabolo's off, as I joked "a bucket full of tequila" after getting a damnhugemargarita. The waitress tried to warn me "Are you sure you want the big one?" and I was like "Bring it on ese."

Celebrated my Row-Row's birthday the day before by taking her for a steak dinner (I think she had fish actually) and then we did a little shopping.

I hope you like this backward timeline.

Anyway this current weekend was a bit on the slow side (no drunken stories to scare you with) but it was relaxing. My boyfriend and I played a lot of L.A Noire, well more like I watched him and laughed my fanny off at the excessive city damage he was causing from his crazy driving.

I love how you have to read peoples expressions, mannerisms, and words to see if they're being deceptive or not and of course as you can see, it is a very beautiful game. I love the use of music in the game as well.

I haven't been shopping really, just grocery shopping at the ol' Costco. We've been strapped for cash. I did buy myself one thing I had been eying for a little while, plus its the time of the bright shining sun and I've lost (can't find) all my others so I thought a replacement was needed:

I ordered a pair in Raspberry. I'm excited to get them, hope they look good on my chipmunk cheeks. Oh memory jog, I have bought a few things: some skirts (one red and one black that are absolutely adorable) and three cds (I love you used bookstore/cd/video store).

Hope everyone is well! I'm signing off now with yes, another video and a picture of my kitteh being far more lady like than I.
