Current guilty pleasure: I wish I could say this is a short list but it is not, it is probably a toss up between: Rita's Cotton Candy Italian Ice, Lemon Cake, Baked Macaroni and Cheese, and Peanut Butter M&M's which confuse and titillate me at the same time... they aren't Reese Pieces but they are essentially the same thing...
Current nail color: Essie - Licorice (black) and Essie - Beyond Cozy (sparkles).
Current playlist: Yes, it is absolutely incredible how one blog can have so many mentions of one Sexy Saxyphone playing man. Also, who takes a kid to a boardwalk party at night with shirtless men? God, get it together, Star!
I Still Believe - Tim Cappello / People are Strange - Echo and the Bunnymen / Lost in the Shadows - Lou Gramm / Cry Little Sister - Gerard McMann / Where is my Mind - Pixies / I'm Gonna Get You - Bizarre Inc feat Angie Brown / Midnight City - M83 / Under your Spell - Desire
Yo, DJ, Pump this Party. Ugh, my childhood was full of some pretty dance-tastic music.
Current drink: Water with sliced lemon and mint.
Current food: I will give you a hint, they are round and full of peanut butter.
Current Favorite TV Show: The Sopranos. I know, I'm late to the game. All I have to say thus far is, mallards. I'm currently on season 3 but I've read all the spoilers.
This movie, For a Good Time, Call... made me giggle and it's on my wishlist.
Current wish list: New Look Victoriana Blouse // Clear Your Head Shaker Set // Elomi Caitlyn Bra // New Look Suedette Waterfall Jacket // ASOS Pleated Leggings // Musical Staff Meeting Cardigan // F21 Street Chic Feather Leggings // Tattoed Mermaid Umbrella // Baseball Tee // Peplum Sweater // Trouser Jean // New Look Diamante Bow Ballet // Embroidered Border Dress // Jersey Waterfall Zip Pocket Jacket // Black Polka Dot Layered Dress // Sienna Keyhole Peplum Top // City Chic Sequin Wrap Dress // City Chic Stripe Blazer // ASICS Gel Cumulus Running Shoes in Purple // For a Good Time, Call Blu-Ray // Kevin Hart - I'm a Grown Little Man // Monster High Draculaura Shoes // Workout top in Purple Heather // Black Yoga Pants // Red Layered Skirt // Panache Underwired Sports Bra // Panache Andorra Bra in Carribean // Cadbury Roses Tin // Rockstar Zip Pocket Jeans in Green // Twill Ankle Pants in Polka Dot // Polka Dot Pencil Skirt //
THIS
Current needs: To stop eating the bad things. Just, stop, it!
Current triumphs: I've lost 25lbs but we'll see if that sticks considering my addiction to putting all the wrong things in my mouth. On the plus side, I worked out an hour yesterday so yay me.
Current bane of my existence: Chocolate, cheese, pasta, cake, italian ice, and cats peeing on carpets!
Current outfit: Garfield t-shirt and Old Navy pajama bottoms with hearts and lions.
Current excitement: Hopefully some hiking. Halloween decor and decorating my house.
Current mood: Awake and pretty snappy.

Hey everyone, as usual I'm about a month in between posts but at least with that I have more news to update you with. In one of my last entries (here) I spoke about how I'm on a weight loss/improved health journey and I have now lost 25lbs! I was pretty excited because it was one of the short term goals I had set in my head and it is so great seeing my hard work pay off. My next short term goal is something between 35-40lbs so wish me luck. It is rough, I have been craving all the wrong things and my energy levels have been in the dumps but I'm slowly rolling through. I think with shows like 'The Biggest Loser' (of which I have never seen but I've heard how they work them out till they puke and demand immediate results) people have started to get some unrealistic views of weight loss in their heads - real weight loss takes time, a lot of permanent changes to your lifestyle, and a fuck ton of patience. I feel like this is taking forever but I know I'm going about it (with exception of a few bad days) the right way for me. One of my changes has been incorporating working out into my life which is not the easiest thing for me because to be honest I don't really care for it most of the time, I generally like walking/hikes but I hate going alone (so boring). I have been hitting up all the local parks for a walk or a hike with my fiance and it has been pretty good, I'm discovering some super picturesque places and seeing growing strength and agility in my body. Not to mention it gets me some new things to shop for - sports bras, yoga pants, running shoes, hiking shoes, cute workout tops, coordinating hats and sunglasses, etc.
A few weekends ago my fiance and I went to Riverbend Park and Great Falls Park. Our day at Riverbend was the best, the weather was amazing and we did a solid walk/hike for about 2 hours. I was exhausted about 3/4ths of the way through but I felt pretty amazing afterwards.
Sadly, our day at Great Falls wasn't quite as majestic since it started to rain and walking in the rain when you wear glasses is so irritating but the views at Great Falls are ridiculous. Great Falls was also jam packed full of humanity but it is kinda understandable considering the view.
Besides all that, my little sisters came to visit two weekends ago and we had a pretty good time, the visit was too brief but my little sister, Megan, had band camp starting on that Monday so we had to cut our visit short. I really enjoyed having them though and I was really bummed when they left. My little sister, Becky, is going into her senior year of high school so I'm trying to squeeze in as much time with her as I can before she goes off to college *sniff* they grow up so fast *sniff*. They really do, I remember the struggle of trying to put toddler shoes on her feet.
The weekend before Becky and Megan visited was my Fiances birthday so I threw a party at our house with friends. We played 'Cards Against Humanity', ate lemon cake and macaroni and cheese, and carried on as we tend to do.
I'm hoping to visit another park Wednesday or Thursday for a hike/walk/exploration that we didn't end up getting to this past weekend because of construction and maybe (fingers crossed) a visit to Ikea for some stuff around the house. On another note, some stores are already putting out their HALLOWEEN stuff out so Halloween shopping and decorating has begun. I love Halloween, it cannot come sooner in my opinion.

My boyfriend and I went to a local park recently and despite the allergies (Mmm, Spring) it turned out to be quite a majestic day. Lately, I find that I just want to spend my time shopping or walking outside at the parks with not so much in between so I figured I'd share some Virginia wilderness with you. I've spent my morning thus far re-watching last nights 'Mad Men' and 'Game of Thrones' while Halo rubs against my hands and I'm thinking I might hit the shops later but it depends on my tummy issues, which are running amuk. I'm finding myself a bit disillusioned with blogging and all social networking as of late but I'm going to try and chug through. Before I go I'll share a picture of some of my recent shopping finds from TJ Maxx.
To say I was excited when I found this sugar skull throw is a bit of a understatement. What exciting things have you found lately? Welllll, that is all from me for now, take care and chat soon.

I'm watching 'Some Kind of Wonderful' and lusting over Eric Stoltz something hard, I have such a difficult time doing one thing at a time so hence the blogging and movie watching at the same time. How was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty awesome. On Wednesday I did a little shopping at Burlington Coat Factory, by little I mean I tried on 20 things, and ended up with a really cute blue top, a new multi-chain necklace, and a stud and skulls cross body bag.
On Thursday, my fiance was recording music at our house with his friend Sylvan, so we all hung out and chatted when they took a break for food. Then on Friday my fiance and I took a walk around our neighborhood and stopped by a few places like Target - I saw the cutest spiked ballet flats but of course they did not have my size (damn these size 11 feet....). Saturday we went to a brand new local hamburger place, stopped by Old Navy for a green tank top, and then headed to a friends St. Patrick's Day party which was a really great time. I drank a lot... as in I kept telling people I felt like I was on another planet alot, so I'm sure it's not much of a surprise to you that I spent most of Sunday in bed. I am a pretty happy, cuddly, outgoing, and talkative drunk person but I almost always get embarrassed the next day thinking "okay, now what did I say/do..." because I always assume I must have said or done something ridiculous. Does anyone who drinks get like that too? Well, I hope everyone is well. I have some chores to catch up with around the house so talk soon!

I need a little rant time, so please bare (BEARS?! I love adding bear jokes to everything, its a habit) with me. Okay, so my local Forever 21 carries the Forever 21 + line in the store which when I first discovered made me squee with delight but since then I've grown a bit frustrated with it. First off the selection sucks, I don't expect to see everything they offer online for instance but I'd like to see more of it or more variety! While shopping in the store yesterday I did not see a single one of these things above available in any size or at all. I did however come across some things that have been stocked or were extremely similar since my last visit which was months prior. I really wish we were offered more cute dresses, skirts, belts, cute prints, better shapes, etc. Call me crazy but I like to have the option of trying on clothes before I buy them too and it's hard to do that when most of the stores that carry plus sized clothing don't offer them in their physical stores. I know this might not be the case but why do I feel like we are the hidden sister? Are we shameful or just not profitable enough? Why is the plus sized section always hidden in a corner and filled with a lot of redundant clothing or we are stuck with the tiniest selection ever? I've heard part of the reason this happens is because the store doesn't make enough profit off the plus sized clothing and I don't know if that is true or not but it is so frustrating. One thing I have noticed is that certain sizes are almost never available so either people are buying them or they aren't stocking enough of them. Now I don't necessarily mind being set off in a corner because then I have more time to shop without being bothered and try on blazers and stuff without having to stand under the harsh dressing room lights but it still bugs me. A lot of stores showed so much promise when their plus size lines first started coming out and then as time has gone on our pickings have become slimmer and slimmer and more basic. I'm tired of feeling left out, I want to wear cute clothes and spend money I don't have just as much as someone who wears a size 6. I still have a body that needs to be clothed. I'm not just talking about Forever 21+, I'm also looking at you Old Navy, Target, etc. I know there are a ton of fabulous online options but I want to feel the fabrics in person, see how it lays on my body, gauge the quality, get out of the house and away from the computer screen, etc. For instance, if you go to Forever 21+ online right now you'll see a pretty decent amount of stuff but in the store I saw maybe 3 to 4 of the items offered online and of that it was mostly pants, basic tops, and blazers. Now don't get me wrong the Forever 21 + section in my local Forever 21 is decent enough but I'm not satisfied with the offerings. I'm sick of feeling left out because of my size, include me, I want to look cute too! I know some of you must feel the same way. Isn't my money as good as the next persons? I'm sick of feeling like "be happy you are finally offered anything and shut up" but no, it's not enough and I'm not satisfied. *sigh* We have a long way to go until we are treated even half as equal as our average size/smaller counterparts my fellow plus sized stylish ladies.

Hey everyone. This was my fiance's last Sunday through Tuesday weekend, he switches to Thursday through Saturday (unless his schedule changes ...again) and we spent it pretty much how we usually spend our weekends - which usually includes me convincing him to give into my food cravings (stir fry at Genghis Grill, hamburgers, cookies, and too many hot dogs - "Many hot dogs are within you") and dragging him from store to store to look at Monster High sections and to hold my purse while I try on clothes and shoes. We also looked at comic books and role playing games so he had some fun too. I had a really limited shopping budget and I'm a super indecisive shopper already and ya know how it usually goes, you have a limited budget so you see 1342930482039 things you want and can only get one or can't afford 1342930482037 of the things you see. Why do they insist on making and stocking sparkly things when I don't have the budget to make them mine? I saw some sparkly bow flip flops, sparkly bow ballet flats, and a sparkly embellished cardigan all during my shopping adventure and I must say. how. dare. thee! That is three of my favorite things sparklified! Everyone knows I can't control myself around sparkly stuff. Everyone! Even the dead (...idk). The ballet flats didn't come in my size but I tried to squeeze my foot into a sz 9 anyway, even though I'm somewhere between a sz 10-11. I'm still thinking about the things I put back: which also include a hot pink cross body purse, a plaid fitted skirt originally from Talbots, a leather jacket on clearance, and a blue and purple sheer top. I ultimately ended up with a Monster High doll I've been coveting. I saw this really gorgeous white silk button up top with floral details at Burlington Coat Factory that I keep seeing twirl about on a hanger inside my head. Help me, I am addicted to wanting everything. I really try not to go overboard with my "wants" when it comes to shoes/clothes/purses/toys but I almost always do but hey if they'd stop making so much cute stuff then I wouldn't have to want it all. I know I've mentioned this problem of mine before but it doesn't seem to ever calm down. Does anyone else have this problem?
Speaking of clothes I have to share pictures of my two new favorite things in my wardrobe including these destroyed denim jeans I picked up from Target for less than $10 and this lace skirt from Deb that I think is absolutely stunning and was on sale for like $15. Have I mentioned how much I adore my black We Love Colors tights, they are the most comfy tights I have ever worn in my life! Gimme lifetime supply! I like how I couldn't be bothered to stand up and take pictures of my clothes, that is very typical of my slacker behavior.
Anyway, besides all my EXCESSIVE shopping lust, my Fiance and I watched 'Looper' and saw a trailer for 'Dark Skies'. I really enjoyed 'Looper', I thought it was a really original concept and I love anything that deals with "time travel." 'Dark Skies' looks creepy and full of aliens so I'm excited to catch that one, I love a good scary Alien movie.
I was really bummed to discover that I lost two followers but I haven't been keeping up with my blogging so I suppose I understand :( I do have to respond with "STELLLLLLLLLLLLLA" because I enjoy pretending to shout that in the streets and, and... you followers should come back...
I'm creeping up on my 100th post and I'm thinking of doing something special to celebrate but I'm not quite sure what yet. I've also slashed the prices in my shop, if anyone is interested most of the things are still up for sale. I haven't had much luck with my shop but would anyone be interested in shoes? They would be mostly in sizes 10 and 11. Lets me know.

Well, I've been superfluous enough for one day (superfluous, what a great effin' word ) so I better go. Talk soon loves and I haven't forgotten about my loot post I just keep getting distracted, but those of you who play The Sims 3 (cue the screenshots) know what I mean by distraction - aka 8 hours of playing that feels like 2 hours.

I have returned from New York City, we got back around 3:30PM yesterday actually but only now am I starting to feel back to normal. I always feel this sense of melancholy when I get back from vacation because I'm thinking of all the things that went wrong, all the things I missed, how much fun I had, how much I didn't want it to end, if and when I will get to go back and see all the things I missed, etc. Also my legs and feet are beat from all that walking, phew. It is nice to be home with my beloved kitties and fiance, I missed them (even though I was only gone 2 days). New York City really is an amazing city. The trip was a mixed bag of good and bad but overall I had a good time. I'll go into more detail later but I wanted to post some pictures.
On another note, today is my little sister Becky's birthday, she is 15! She is the one in the white cardigan.
One of my best friends who I mentioned in a previous post is having a hard time right now and is in the process of getting separated, if anyone could help her out, or just have well wishes for her it would be greatly appreciated. They are awesome people and starting over can be very hard and they've all been through a lot. I have a link HERE if you want to help.
