Current frustration: Back pain. It has been endless and pain is time consuming.

Current want: I really want my own house so I can fill it with dogs and cats. Have you seen the tiny homes? They appeal to me but I need space for animals so it would never really work. Boo. The pictures are when my husband decided to bring me to a puppy store and I somehow left without actual tears, I was close though. I want all da puppies!

Current TV shows: Key and Peele, Inside Amy Schumer, American Horror Story (oh netflix, you're the best), and House.

Current crush: Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele(imagine that). I love when Keegan does that little kick thing, he's adorable. Jessica Lange because she is one sexy lady. I didn't quite get the appeal of Evan Peters until watching American Horror Story but now I see it. He looks so young to me though which makes me feel skeevy, even though he is only 2 years younger than me...

Current nail color: Blue on my feet. I'm too lazy to hunt down the bottle so you'll just have to believe me.

Current drink: Chips Ahoy Coolatta from Dunkin Donuts. It's pretty tasty. I'm not currently drinking it but I wish I was.

Current music: Skid Row by Skid Row.

Current cuddle partner: This fluff ball of adorableness. The one and only baby Halo.

Current food: Above is my breakfast. It was tasty. My stomach should be hurting any minute now *checks watch* Any minute...

Current wishlist: New Look Front Strap Bra Boohoo Basic Oversized Tee in White and BlackF21 Sheer Lace Maxi DressF21 Rose Print Maxi Dress  / New Love Silver Straw Zip Top Clutch / Curvy Kate Bra / Melon Floral Maxi Dress / Jeepers Peepers Handbag / BPAL Miss Forcible

Last favorite purchase: Beetlejuice Metal lunchbox! I had a plastic one with the cartoon characters on it in elementary school. I also found a cute green chair for $16. See my instagram for picture!

Today has been one of those days where I just can't get motivated to do anything so instead I've been spending it revisiting my Pinterest and finding new things to stare at so I figured I'd share some of my particular favorites at the moment. I hope someone out there is having a productive day, the most productivity coming out of here is a little bit of laundry and spending too much money on QVC.com. Yes, I am officially old now, I buy shit off QVC. They actually have some cute stuff... anywho, Happy almost Friday!

Oh Hai there, I sit here before the glow of the computer screen.. another year older, it feels... um, the exact same as being a year younger. However, if there is a Genie reading this I will totally shave a few years off my age - not as a wish though, a perk perhaps? Since I'm on the subject of age, I was surprised (and delighted) to know that everyone that I celebrated my birthday with thought I was a good 3-5 years younger than I actually am. My tales of events in celebration of my birth continue (that sounded a wee bit formal...), my boyfriend surprised me with two separate dinner get togethers with friends; On Sunday I had prime rib, sprinkles with a smidge of ice cream, and adult conversations with Jamie, Christina, and Paul. Then on Monday we drove to Old Town Alexandria for risotto and Lord of the Rings cake with Darrell and Alexia. Alexia is an actress and was telling us about her latest projects, including how awkward it is to film a sex scene and the struggle of keeping a straight face through an interpretative play whilst wearing a slip. After dinner the four of us went to Walmart where I bought some toys (yes, more Monster High) and we had a brief Hula Hoop contest. As usual I forgot to take pictures of my birthday loot but I did however get around to taking pictures of my hair which I'm happy to report is still vibrant, those notoriously fading red tresses are marching on.

Tuesday was a low-key but awesome day of running errands, window shopping, dinner, fountain watching, and another 'Cabin in the Woods' viewing. On Wednesday, our cat Hero puked all over the bed including my boyfriends head and my arm, it was certainly an unexpected way to wake up. Hero seems to be feeling fine so I just attribute it to his fondness for licking tape, plastic, carpet, Monster High doll hair, ... pretty much anything else that isn't nailed down. It is times like these that I feel like we have actual human children instead of furry ones.  Another weekend is set to begin for me in a few hours (once my boyfriend gets off work), my boyfriend has band practice and I have shopping to do so I will be back soon with loot pictures! I'm still debating whether or not to buy these jeans, this dress, and or this skirt. I'm trying not to go too insane in the clothes department since I just broke my closet for good (the railing in the closet had decided it had enough and quit without notice, bastard...). Speaking of excessive amount of clothes, I'm hoping to start a shop here soon to get rid of some things I never wear, would anyone be interested? I think it's about that time where I post awkward self portraits I took to try to showcase my hair, I took about 2 pictures with a smile that didn't read as "something smells in the science lab again".

This last one was just an excuse for me to wear these adorable sunglasses.

So I have noticed in all my entries (thus far) I have talked wayy too much, what can I say I have a weakness for many things and excessive speech just happens to be one of them. Of course I'm as always blabbering too much - the point is I'm going to cut this entry short, or try and fail miserably.

So my weekend, I visited my friend Row and her family on Friday. Monkey took us to a local Italian restaurant that was awesome I really liked the ambiance of the place - it had an awesome wooden door with a speakeasy (love them), smelled lovely, and they were playing 50's hits. Also the food was yummy, lots of garlic, I took a business card but I think I washed my pants with it in the pocket... typical.

The following day was my little sisters' dance recital, they did well. Went to Texas Roadhouse with the family afterwards, gave my sisters grief, and then drove back home.
Ham and swiss cheese roll up with spicy broccoli.

Besides all that, I've been cooking a lot. I enjoy cooking but it is a bit of a hassle when you share a place with 2-3 other people. Plus dirty dishes can SUCK IT, although Monkey has that chore (agreed upon chores are great), he does dishes and I do the bathrooms - even trade in my opinion. Note the deadly trident mark on the roll, what a way to go.

I haven't been shopping at all :( I'm sad about it too.

We did get one new thing though: 'Alice: Madness Returns' for our XBOX. We were both very excited, our roommate has had it since it came out and we've been envious and itching for our own copy. It came with 'American McGee's Alice' as well. We haven't even played the new Alice yet, just the old Alice. I'm not sure if anyone else here is a video game fan. They have some really awesome merchandise on their site Alice 2 Store, I want so many of the lithographs (preview down below) and t-shirts they have for sale. I would love to have the costume below but it only goes up to a size L. I would wear it to Costco, rock that shit in the aisle with gigantic jars of pickles but alas I cannot, chub discriminators.

Two nights ago, I chatted with my roomie Dawn for hours, she wanted slacker advice, seriously. I've never been told I know how to "take it easy" in a good way. Maybe I can turn this whole slacker, bum like lifestyle into a career? No... it is doubtful. Back to slacking! Wait, no exclamation point, getting excited takes too much effort.

So I'm off to make dinner, late I know, but my boyfriend works third shift.

I leave you with a video I cannot stop watching, I love Betty/Bettie Page.

Oh and kitties. I cannot leave without spamming you with kitty images.

The family kitten, who I renamed Tyrion after the character in Game of Thrones. He is really adorable but he has one stinky ass.
My Hero.

It is me, Luigi.

Ello' everyone. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend, mine was spent being very lazy with my boyfriend. I have been feeling super lethargic this entire week, my cats couldn't be happier, the lazier you are the happier they are. I'd rather be up and about sparring with the day but it is nice to wake up to two adorable kitties cuddling with you.

Saturday was spent doing a whole lot of nothing and eventually eating taco bell which is one of my boyfriends favorite food groups. I wish I was kidding but he loves that place, he pays no attention to lawsuits, he very rarely orders beef or beef filling or whatever it could potentially be. I love what Colbert, or was it Jon Stewart said about the lawsuit "you're only eating the food when you're drunk anyway" or something to that effect, don't quote me because I know that quote isn't correct.

Sunday, my boyfriend and I slept entirely too much and then decided to get up to try this Italian restaurant one of his co-workers had mentioned. It is called Maggiano's, apparently it is a chain that is all over the states, but up until my boyfriend mentioned it I had never heard of it. Which was quite a shame because the food was fabulous, even down to the aged parmesan on the table which was drool inducing.

View outside Tyson's 2 where Maggiano's lives. Quite pretty little shopping destination.

You can't spot the little dish with the epic cheese but that was ...one set table. Ha, that sounds like a really bizarre come on, " You're one set table."
The Margherita Flatbread with sausage and see, EPIC CHEESE. Nomnom. It was so delicious and a mighty big appetizer I might add.
Chicken saltimbocca, my delicious high calorie intake. Note massive amounts of cheese on my pasta. (Sorry the pictures are so dark, they had dark lighting in there and I didn't want to put on the flash and have everyone look at me weird)

The lovah ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, he said it was amazing which he never says, his standard review is *shrug* "it's okay."

I honestly wasn't sure if I could handle a dessert but I'm a SUCKER for creme burlee and the food was so good, I just had to get it. Thank the Maggiano's  Gods because holy f was it good. I love me some burnt sugar.
My lovah ordered the lemon cookies which were soft and a bit tart with a light frosting. Mmmhmm.
When we got there it was packed by the time they rolled us out of there it was pretty late. Our lazy asses slept through most of the daylight *shakes head in disgust*. It is a pretty restaurant though as made apparent in the two above pictures, it was on two floors and had nice wood details.
We walked around the closed and ritzy Tysons 2 a little bit. Clearly it was a ghost town seeing that it was around 9-10pm on a Sunday.
Another haughty view, said best if you pretend to be an English butler or Tim Curry as a butler in 'Clue' (one of the best movies ever).
Walked past the Chanel...

looked at purses that cost as much as a down payment on a house...

realized I could never wear a Betsy Johnson dress because of said love of Italian food.

The food was just so fresh and of such high quality, which you don't normally find at chain restaurants. So yes, visit a Maggiano's, I guarantee you won't regret it. My monkey (my affectionate term for my boyfriend) and I finally went home and goofed off around a little bit and went to sleep very late.

Monday, we picked up Z, went to sketch comedy meeting where everyone acted out our next sketch which is going to be great. It has a very Charlie Chaplin/Buster Keaton vibe to it (not to put our group up on the same pedestal as Chaplin or Keaton). Afterward we all went back to the Chicken & Beer place to chat and get some grub. Stood in the parking lot and chatted with Z, D, and Nando for a brief period of time over our fender bender then headed home to again, stay up too late.

Tuesday, rinse and repeat of excessive sleep, Monkey decided not to go into work (he has the option of going in on Tuesdays for extra hours) so we could instead run a few errands. Now we went shopping for cat food, trash bags, and snacks. Of course we left the store with much more. I got a lace detail belt with grommets, purple sweater, red and black jacket I found for $22.50 (love the deal on jackets this time of year), and a night shirt I found for a $1 and even held up the line for (no price tag). I love this night shirt, the people behind me can suck it, it was worth it. It was a fun shopping adventure as it usually is, my Monkey found another pair of Iron Man pajama bottoms so he was happy.

Nightmare on your street, see my $1 nightshirt. I love it.

Oh I found these little bundt cakes, they have Paula Deen's face on them, and the one I got was cranberry orange or something. Ugh, why does there have to be so much fattening and tasty food around? If you find this brand I speak of, get one! So delish.

My Halo just jumped on my lap so I leave you with pictures of the real Nightmare on your streets, my kitties :)

Halo

Hero
