Hey everyone, these last few weeks have been really jam packed full of activity for my boyfriend and I. I'm happy to report that my boyfriends Dad is doing quite well since his surgery, he will be in recovery for quite some time but he seems in good spirits! Our calendar has been full of social time with friends which has helped us stay sane through the stress of planning a move and health problems within our families. A few weeks ago I got to hang out in D.C with my friend, Bill, whom I had not seen in over 3 years. I wish I had taken more pictures that day since I very rarely venture to D.C and because Bill is moving quite far away and we probably won't see one another for another few years, however it was so nice seeing him and catching up. This seems to be a popular time of year to be born as well so we've celebrated the birthdays of a few friends at two separate house parties where I've eaten way too many cookies, it seems like every party has a friggin delicious tray of cookies at it. There have been some get togethers with Laurie, Jason, Jamie, and Christina over board games (anyone else played Imaginiff?), movies, and drinks. A short trip to the "country" to pick up fresh fruit and see new places. Also, my boyfriend and I went to Wolf Trap to see one of our favorite bands, Dead Can Dance. So jam packed indeed, ironically enough we picked up some fresh jam from the produce stand in the country so literally jar packed full of fruit and sugar goodness. Yesterday my boyfriend and I went to dinner with his Dad and Aunt at Tysons Corner and then afterwards we went to Target where I picked up a few things I probably didn't really need...

I'm anxious for Autumn and Halloween merchandise to get here and the moving stress is definitely going to continue so sanity is not guaranteed. This time of year always seems stressful for my boyfriend and I though so at least it is consistent.

I will probably have a loot post here soon since I've gotten quite a few things over the last few weeks including adding quite extensively to my Monster High collection - there is no end in sight for my MH obsession. I hope everyone is well and since I've mentioned jam about 45 times in this post, I can't not post this:

G'day loves, talk soon!

This old man down the street has a little fruit stand and he sells homemade jellies and jams. I bought some mayhaw jelly(have you ever had that?) and some strawberry jam. It's super good. I thought about doing a giveaway once for the mayhaw jelly bc it's THAT good but I didn't know how well it would ship. lol
Glad you're father in law is doing good and I hope you and your bf don't get too stressed!

I've really happy to hear that your boyfriend's dad is doing well - that must be such a relief. And it's also really great that you're getting in some down time with friends - that's so important.

happy to hear that your BF's dad is recovering so well. I'm ready for Halloween merch too. I have so many ideas on how to decorate my home this year. Hopefully I can do more than just put a pumpkin outside which is what I did last year. So lame.

Aww, I wish I had a little old man jelly stand down my street. I have never had mayhaw jelly but I'm intrigued, I will have to try it one of these days. I've never shipped food/food products, I do wonder how they keep. Stress levels are still high but my boyfriend and I seem to be working well through it. Thanks for the well wishes!

We've seen him two or so times since my post and he is doing really well! I'm so happy that he is doing as well as he is. Everything has been rather busy and surprisingly fun despite the high stress levels. You know I have something like 25 dolls now, I will take a picture of a few of them in my next loot post. Cookie parties are always swell :)

@Courtney Erin

Thank you, it really is, he is still in a neck brace and still needs help getting around but he is doing lots better. It is sweet seeing my boyfriend take care of him, I really got lucky with finding such a good guy. I agree about friend time, everyone needs time to relax and forget about their problems for a little bit.

Me too and thank you! I have been dying for Halloween merchandise, why do they wait so long to put it out? I'm impatient dammit. I found some cute things and saw some amusing things at Kmart recently, so hit up your local K. I wish I had the energy to go full on Halloweenie nuts like Roseanne did on her show, it is a serious goal of mine.

@Laura Go

Joey like Jam (I don't think he actually said it like a caveman but that is how I picture him saying it). Life has been really busy, good but busy and somehow my boyfriend and I haven't opened our jar of jelly/jam yet...

I hope you had a grand weekend and another grand one here again.

@wait until the sunset

Thank you, I'm so relieved he seems better. I still haven't taken pictures of my loot, I am such a procrastinator...

Now that you mention it, I actually haven't planned for Halloween yet, I LOVE Halloween but I don't have a costume or plans yet. This lack of Halloween plans shall not stand! HAHa.
