Hey everyone, I have exciting news to share with you, later this month - can't believe it is July already - I am flying to Florida to look at a house and if I like it, there is a pretty big possibility we might move there! I'm excited but also a little scared at the idea of moving almost 900 miles away. I've always lived in the Washington D.C/Baltimore area but I've always been the type of person that wanted to live many places so although I'm a bit nervous about it I'm really excited at the prospect as well, the cost of living is much less in Florida and it seems like a less stressful place to be. Plus I mean beach, sunny skies, and year around flip flop weather is nothing to throw a beach ball at. If it works out that I get there and decide I don't like the house we have decided to move out of the place we live now either way, which is such a huge relief to me because as some of you may know I really don't care for my current living situation. My only issue now is I'm really impatient so I'm going to be counting down the days till I get to fly to Florida and then after that till we finally get to move. It makes things a bit odd though because I'm not quite sure what will be happening, just that things will be changing. My boyfriends band had previously been booked to perform at a show in Brooklyn, NY later this month but they had to cancel, I'm bummed it got cancelled because I love visiting New York but the timing was a bit tricky for everyone so it really is for the best. Besides all of that I've done a little shopping here and there, I got some new Monster High dolls, a tribal print dress, some dvds and books, and a purse I have since broke...
Last weekend I hung out with my friend Summer and we had wildly inappropriate conversations while getting pedicures, I watched the entire season of 'Girls', and I got to indulge in one of my favorite Summertime treats - snowballs with marshmallow on top (my hand looks really weird in that picture). In other news, I'm thinking of changing my hair here soon but I'm not quite sure, I've been really stressed out and feel like my hair is falling out left and right because of it.
There was a pretty big storm that occurred here a few days ago and knocked down a ton of trees and left a bunch of people without power but luckily all is well here. Yesterday I picked up some more library books so between those, my new dvds, The Sims 3, planning a trip, and planning a move, I've felt remarkably busy.

I feel like such a crappy blogger, I've been super distracted... just now I decided it was a good idea to paint the nails on only my left hand so distracted indeed.

It took the lovely Laura of The Blog of Worldly Delights in a recent comment to remind me that I still haven't gotten around to posting pictures of the lovely things I got on vacation (and since then considering I went on vacation in February). I personally love coming across haul posts so I'm quite disappointed in my slack in this arena, you disgust me "Slack". I do have to warn you before hand that this is long overdue and I'm a bit spoiled so there are a few things to be shown and trust me I'm leaving out a thing or two (you mean to tell me that you're not interested in what toothpaste I use? Rudeness).

I absolutely adore these plates and bowls from Target, they are plastic and extremely sturdy, not to mention cheap! I think the plates were $2.99 each, the only drawback is you're not suppose to use these plates in the microwave but um, I have anyway... I'm a child of the 80's, I detect plastic as "yum". I'm kidding, don't be like me, I give my little sisters that advice all the time - usually after I start telling stories about when I was in high school.

I find clothes hard to take proper pictures of, especially when you live in a basement with hardly any light and you buy a lot of black clothing but I will link you to a few of the things I was able to find online.
1 // Black Crossback Dress from Torrid, I'm still shocked I bought this dress since it is so body hugging but I really wanted something sexy while I was in Florida.
2 // Old Navy Lounge Cardigan this isn't the epic cardigan I found recently that had a hoodie on the back so I'm linking you to a similar one. I recommend getting your tookus to the store though because it is the worlds most perfect cardigan, I'm bummed that I can't seem to find it online. Why hasn't anyone ever thought to put a hoodie on a cardigan before? Genius.
3 // Cross-Yoke Dress from Old Navy, yet another Old Navy mystery. The dress I bought was this style but in a pink and white zig-zag pattern (to the left), just yesterday I had pulled up the links and now I can't find the dress on Old Navy's website.
4 // OP Striped Cover-Up Dress from Walmart, someone once told me to never admit to buying clothes from Walmart but I really don't care where things are from, I only care that they are cute and I get my moneys worth. I adore this cover-up, which I've been wearing as a super long tank top, it has a really flattering shape and length.
I'm starting to feel a little trippy (*shudder* reminds me of some bad Carnival experiences I've had) seeing this pattern out of the corner of my eye. There will definitely be more loot/haul posts to come considering my birthday is two weeks away and tax refund checks are quite splendid! Until then, happy shopping!

Looty Booty, I'm a doofus, sharing some of my recent purchases. I didn't buy the necklaces in the picture just the black dress. The pants I bought to wear to work and I'm very happy with them. The one pair (second down) I've been wearing to the work the last few days and I'm happy to report I think I actually could have gone down a size. Shopping while you're bloated is not recommended. I also got a black and white polka dot see through top that I quite like, wore it on Monday - I do have to say though the sleeves are a bit weird. That isn't all I bought...
I like to buy DVD's, I don't know if I have previously mentioned that but I do. Some of the stuff I buy is a bit dorky but oh well, that is I, a bit dorky.
I also bought a pair of sparkly denim skinny jeans from Forever 21, simple black leggings from Forever 21, black cardigan with heart pattern from Forever 21, 4 tank tops from old navy (all longish lace tees in white, 2x black, and purple). two eyeliners (one in glam rock green and one in blue rock), 3 pairs of knickers from Torrid (one has a squirrel on it hehe), angel wing ring, open gray cardigan from Forever 21, and a black old navy cardigan. So safe to say, I went a little crazy. I really need some work clothes and some tank tops I didn't despise, but I went a little over that... obviously.
In other news, work has been good. I'm still trying to adjust to the schedule though, I'm dog tired today, need a nap! My boyfriend bought us 'Blood Drive' for our XBOX which he is a lot better at than I am.
Saw 'Sucker Punch' over the weekend - it was okay.
Discovered that there is a Pinkberry in Fairfax, must try, must try!
Ben and Jerry's 'Late Night Snack', although odd sounding, is quite tasty. (Have yet to try Clusterfluff, I will keep you posted)
Almost peed my pants laughing while fooling around with a Ken doll in Walmart, had him longingly yell my boyfriends name and make long awaited admissions. I almost considered buying it, it was so fun to play with. But knowing me, I would have bought it, put it in absurd duct tape outfits and ended up breaking its little voice box thingie making it scream inappropriate statements. That or my boyfriend would have ended up taking it away because of my bad behavior ^-^
I have been craving mashed potatoes like it's nobodies business, which it is not, keep it to yourself! I'm kidding, put it on a billboard, perhaps I'll get free mashed potatoes! Do it! Oh and I dragged my boyfriend to 'Cracker Barrell', he seemed pleasantly surprised to find out it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. We got a lot of strange looks though, especially when I walked to the wrong door twice before finding the bathroom.
I've been having a lot of fun, hope it stays fun. Hope everyone is well. Still need to get around to that outfit of the day thing, need to take pictures! I will get around to it eventually.
Oh before I forget, booties! The booties I mentioned in the previous post. I haven't worn them yet but my right knee has been acting up and I don't want to push it at all.
